Tessa & Kaleb • Married • Dingle, Ireland

Listen and scroll! This song was played as Tessa was walking in to the castle to marry her love Kaleb. The rain had stopped and the clouds were starting to dissapear but I don't think there was a dry eye in the whole place!

Photographing Tessa and Kaleb’s small wedding in Ireland was truly a dream come true. After getting to know them throughout their engagement session, Tessa told me they had decided against a traditional wedding and instead opted to elope in Ireland with their immediate families present. Right away I knew I HAD to photograph it, but it wasn’t until a month before when they told me they had it in the budget! I rushed to get my passport and expedited it as much as humanly possible! Luckily it came on time and my calendar was clear. My husband Spenser got the time off of his job at Apple and we were set!

Their wedding was truly focused on what matters, LOVE. While beautiful details, delicious appetizers, extravagant flowers, expensive bridesmaids dresses and killer dance parties are great and so much fun to photograph, Tessa and Kaleb decided to keep it simple. One of my favorite moments of the whole day was when Tessa stopped by the florist ON HER WAY to the ceremony with her mom and just picked out her eucalyptus bouquet on the spot! Her mom being a wedding planner in Portland, learned to let go and roll with the spontaneity.

The day before the wedding, they set out to find a place to have the ceremony and found Minard Castle. A 16th century castle that sits on a grass covered hill overlooking the Irish Sea. It was perfect.

Rain, wind, sun, clouds, we had it all. Ireland’s weather was so unpredictable but that didn’t phase Tessa and Kaleb. They were champs and held each other extra close when the wind would pick up. We adventured around the Dingle Peninsula down to Slea Head Drive and found the coolest road winding down to the sea. It was a magical moment when Spenser and I discovered it!

I am SO thankful for the opportunity to have captured such a beautiful day and I will treasure these memories for years to come. We decided to spend a whole week in Ireland and do some exploring before and after the wedding. I absolutely loved Kerry and the Western part of Ireland, Spenser was a big fan of Dublin and all the delicious restaurants and beautiful architecture. Ireland won our hearts and we definitely can’t wait to go back someday. For now we will just relive the moments through these photos!
